Spectacular!! My partner and I love Fraser Island, especially the northern end where Orchid Beach is located. I can honestly say Kyeema is the best accommodation I've ever booked. The house is stunning - light, spacious and contemporary, with a fantastic bathroom and a large balcony set amongst the treetops. We were fortunate and had perfect weather throughout our stay in May 2011, so made the most of the owners' recommendations and visited places we hadn't seen before. Highlights were wading through Wathumba Creek at low tide, amidst a scurry of thousands of tiny blue soldier crabs, a picnic lunch at Platypus Bay once we'd reached the other side, and a long walk up Ngulungbara Sand Blow. We're looking forward to returning... hopefully soon!

Kyeema is a truly wonderful place, in a very special part of the Island. We were very impressed by the houses style and functionally. Having the ocean breeze running though the semi-outdoor bathroom is a fantastic way to relax after a big day of exploring the Island. Kyeema has a modern and fully equipped kitchen and a protected outdoor BBQ, which were both excellent to cook with. The large sunny outdoor deck with views of the beach, framed by the tree tops, was perfect to sit and enjoy glass of champagne. Highly recommended for those who want to get away from the usual 'tourist route' and have serenity, seclusion and beautiful surroundings. Jim and Jay

Thank you for sharing your little sanctuary with us. It was all so perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Kyeema is a rare gem set in pristine environment and we loved relaxing high up amongst the trees surrounded by chirpy birds. Absolutely beautiful! We went on several tracks across the island to the lakes etc and drove the whole east coast beach... even made it twice to Sandy Cape, one of our favourite spots...Thank you again... we have such wonderful memories and just cannot wait to get back to get back to this little hideaway!!!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would recommend Mia Mia/Kyeema to anyone travelling over to Fraser.

 Our days were very busy and of course driven by tide times, yet we still managed to see and experience a lot of the island whilst relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous treetop views on dusk.  The black folder (found on coffee table) was very useful for our explorations - I’m filled with nostalgia thinking about the turtles in lake Allom.   The house was perfect, and notably some good detailing architectural/construction.

Kyeema was a wonderful experience for us as a couple. No children or news from the outside world! The house is a fine example of style and good taste. It provides you with the opportunity to connect with each other and with the natural environment. Kyeema was the most wonderful place to have a Fraser getaway, by the time we left we really were relaxed. The house is stylishly furnished and equipped with all the necessities, whilst keeping with the Fraser theme. It is the fourth time we have been to Fraser and Kyeema would be the most impressive for accommodation. Orchard Beach is a great place for a retreat as it is not as busy as the southern areas of the island. We highly recommend Kyeema and Orchid Beach for a wonderful Fraser getaway. A beautifully designed and detailed house to stay in and completely relax. We especially enjoyed the light airy touch of the bathroom (mesh only). Mid winter but very much still warm enough. We also enjoyed the beautiful NG Rosewood timber throughout, the carefully selected furniture and the generous timbers in the bathroom and verandahs. Found the internet information you provided and wonderful places to visit inspiring -we followed your advice and enjoyed Orange Creek, the dunes near Ocean Lake and Wathumba Creek: all amazingly peaceful and stunningly beautiful. Kyeema was the perfect place for a couple to get totally away from everything and just relax. We enjoyed waking up to the birds and the view. I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as it was all open plan.
